Privacy

Visiting this site.

This site doesn’t set cookies, doesn’t run ads, and doesn’t follow you around the internet. We count visits with GoatCounter, an analytics tool that doesn’t use cookies or track individual visitors. We see totals, such as which pages get read, not who you are.

Our pages are hosted by GitHub Pages, which may log visitors’ IP addresses and basic usage for security and operations. See GitHub’s privacy statement. Our fonts load from Google Fonts, so Google may see your IP address when a page loads.

The newsletter.

Our newsletter runs on Substack. If you subscribe, Substack collects and handles your email address under its own privacy policy, and it may use cookies. We can see who subscribes, but we don’t sell or share the list.

Emailing us and submitting your work.

Messages and manuscripts arrive in our email, which runs on Google Workspace. We use them only to reply, to evaluate your work, and, if we work together, to publish it. We don’t sell or rent your information, and we never will.

Your manuscript stays between you and us. We never share it with anyone outside Bipedal Press, other than people helping us publish your book, and only with your knowledge. We never use manuscripts, or anything else you send us, to train AI.

How long we keep things.

We delete declined manuscripts within 90 days. A manuscript we’re still considering may be archived while we decide. If we publish your book, we keep the files we need to do that.

Your choices.

Email us any time to ask what we have from you, to correct it, or to have it deleted: courtney@bipedalpress.com.

Children.

This site isn’t directed at children under 13.

Changes.

If we change this page, we’ll update the date at the top.
